Carinthia's Endowed Professorship for Innovative and Sustainable Timber Construction.

The professorship aims to position timber construction as a strategic technology for the future, combining teaching, research, and practical application across the entire wood value chain.

Key research topics include:

• Sustainable and optimised timber structures (material reduction, structural efficiency)

• Hybrid elements using new and reclaimed wood

• Digital tools for planning and structural health monitoring

• Stress grading of reused timber components

• Improved resource efficiency, connection technologies, and fire protection in timber construction
